There’s plenty to comment upon but I agree with this as the final word on it all.

We were awful first half but second half looked ‘in control’ just lacked anything constituting a threat up front. You hope signings await but I’m not holding my breath. The sooner Olise and Franca start to feature the sooner we may actually look like a complete team and therefore perhaps capable of a 10th or better finish.

Nonetheless, would’ve taken that beforehand. Andersen was imperious today. Ayew our best player after him. COYP

Spot on. And you never know, but Ferguson may just emerge at some point.

Agreed. Fully expect palace to do nothing else this window. Cheap as usual. If that is the case, personally I want to see Ayew up front. When everyone’s fit, Franca, ayew and Olise front three. Eze playing behind.

The second half was excellent as far as effort and heart, Ayew is player of the season so far, we are missing Olise, i am supposing Franca is decent, an attacking player and a keeper is all we need.

That would be as miraculous as Lazarus.

Ward is a Palace hero. It’s not his fault. But why oh why does his position get ignored so often by management? And made captain? Like Milovoyevich it’s a badge of weakness. Why do we wait three weeks into the season to buy our players? Who else does that? Are Brentford or Brighton in better financial positions than us? 11 years in the prem and we still can’t secure a squad before the season starts. A joke. And this is what happens: The players lose confidence, more work is demanded by other players to cover weak players and they get injured, better players from other clubs avoid us because we’re a cheap joke with no ambition or likelihood to go to Europe, and the cycle of poverty keeps rolling. EZE needs help so watch him pull a hamstring trying to do it all while Parish sits on his wallet. BS. But it’s my club. Not so much a disappointing performance from the boys as a disappointing performance from management not supporting the boys. Ward in particular, a Palace legend, but his position is on the bench. RB has been a gaping hole for ages now but someone’s either too stupid or too cheap to fix it. If an AWB was in that position today would have been different. We would have won by at least a goal. We really should stop blaming the boys or Roy. Under the circumstances our management forces them to play they should all be applauded, Ward included.

Very good result after being under pressure in the first half, although Johnson was never troubled apart from the goal, we came back strongly in the second half and deserved the point at a very difficult away fixture.
The Arsenal game and this game illustrates we need players that can open defences whether from midfield or attack positions.COYP

Fantastic point but if the management and owners don't watch that and realise we massively need to upgrade RB, LW and ST it's borderline negligence.

Ward was utterly awful. Schlupp is average. Edouard is hopeless. Frankly I think Mitchell could be upgraded as well but that's not a priority.

The owners have a lot of money invested in the club, they employ professional football management. They will be well aware of positions needed, but finding them that are better than we have at the price we can afford, isnt so easy.

We’re really not as bad as some on here make out. That said, Schlupp really had a shocker and Eduard’s not a striker.

Ward made a mistake but that’s the 1st one in 3 games. Onwards and upwards- need to beat Wolves next week.

I don't think Wardy did a lot wrong - if Olise or Eze had done that - I don't think anyone here would be saying - "well their right back f***** up there didn't he"

Are Richards, Riedewald or Clyne right-back options?

Perhaps today wasn't Joel's best game, but I thought he was excellent v Sheff Utd and Arsenal.

Maybe he ought to see out his playing days in a more central role?
