It makes sense for Eze to sign a new deal for him and us. I imagine he'll be getting near 100k pw which would be a huge pay bump and the club won't sell him until next summer at the earliest anyway. It's also great to see Franca finally out on the training pitch today. He looks like another player who plays with a smile on his face. It's a little thing but it does make a big difference. I also noticed Lerma in the photos which hopefully means his injury isn't too serious. It makes sense to us. The reality is, he'll have ambitions to play at the highest level. And whilst he is looking like he's enjoying himself at the min, he wont want Parish to be able to get in the way of that. Stay as he is, sure he'll get less money then he deserves this season, but we'll have to let him go for any reasonable offer next summer. Sign a new deal, earn good money this season, but then Parish can turn away any offer he wants. I suspect there might be a middle ground with a clause.

Just as i thought, God is a Palace fan.
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

It is, of course, brilliant news that Eze is a Palace player for at least another year. I just love the way he plays and his temperament. Tomorrows game with Fulham will be his 100th. I hope gets a good reception.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

He has previously had a very serious injury so a new deal that will likely double his wage while probably only adding another year to his contract protects him as well as us. He could also put something in the contract regarding a release clause of some sort. His friendship with Olise and the fact he signed a new deal may also influence his decision. Whatever the case let's just hope he does sign as right now Palace without Eze is not worth thinking about.
