This thread is headed ‘Latest News’ but in truth there isn’t any and there has been very little even though training starts next week.

I would be very happy to get Perr Schuurs, Reiss Nelson, Guehi to Arsenal, Nketiah and 30m, (money for Schuurs) and Jded Spence on a loan to buy. easily doable, with Wilf, Guehi, Luka and McArthur off the books, no increase in salary cost

Added to that we are the smallest club to show an interest. Nelson has struggled to get a regular game for Arsenal and so might be interested but would also probably demand high wages (if Arsenal offering him 100k pw for a new deal is true). Nketiah is already on 100k pw on a 5-year deal at Arsenal and would probably cost 30m+, plus with CL football on offer he's not coming to us. Spence didn't convince Spurs but is a possible and probably on reasonable wages, but are we going to add a third right-back to our ranks when we only have one left back? Personally I don't think we'll see any of the names you mentioned arriving. Of the rumours knocking around Demarai Gray seems more realistic (but doesn't excite me) and possibly a return for Ronnie Edwards at Peterborough who we might be able to pick up for a reasonable fee. We've had success plundering the Championship, so I think that's more likely where we'll go fishing due to lower wages and lower fees.
