What is needed is what we have. A curriculum. That determines what is taught. The teachers need to be taught how to teach it, leaving at home their personal opinions, or lack of them. That depends on who is creating it. If it is the same kind of lefty loons that infest our universities, then no thanks.

Our representatives don't seem to be very representative.

Our representatives don't seem to be very representative. I agree, and it's not just the quality of teaching nowadays (which seems poor from my experience with Granddaughter's schooling) it's also what they are telling 8 year olds in so called sex education classes. What the heck are we doing with American ideas and written material to tell them about anal sex and suggest young kids experiment with masturbation? Blimey, when I was at school, a mixed Secondary Modern, we took great delight in experimenting and feeling our way (so to speak) with the girls who were more than happy to be willing participants in our DIY sex education. We all seem to have got the hang of it without the need of classroom lessons. Anyway, where are the parents in all of this? In answer to the title of this thread - I sincerely hope so.

I imagine there was lots of masturbation on your DIY curriculum, but was there any 'rear-end work'? Asking purely in the interest of context

Not by the look of it.... A 13-year-old schoolgirl was reportedly reprimanded by her teacher at a Church of England school in East Sussex after she expressed skepticism about a peer’s identification as a cat.

Asking purely in the interest of context As far as I recall YT, the only goings on in the back passage where we thought no-one could see, were illicit smoking and snogging. I hope that satisfies your curiosity you naughty boy.

I'm definitely on your side in the 'gender nuttery' debate Hrolf. What has the world come to when a 13 yr old girl thinks she's a cat and the girl's parent accuses her teacher of not being sympathetic? Barmy.
