I disagree with the criticism of Mitchell. Overall, I thought his performance was pretty tidy. He’s still young and inexperienced, so he’s still learning his craft. Good showing, too, by Ward who was understandably elated to score. Mitchell has pace and skill but lacks experience. Ward has experience and skill but lacks pace. I’m happy to have both in the team.

Wardy is a 'goal machine'.

We need to sort out our defending from set pieces for next season that is for sure. We only started playing in the last ten minutes today and looked a lot more dangerous with Mateta on. I don't think we can be too hard on Mitchell. He makes mistakes, but he will get better. He needs cover to take a bit of pressure off.

I will break it down for you. He had a poor game and this is not the first this season alone he has not been great. You claim inexperience and young Mitchell is 23 years old his first Prem game was back in 19/20 and he has had 2 seasons playing almost every game the season before those two he played half the season. He has 2 senior England caps. He started his Prem career before Guehi who is a year younger as well. Ward has skill laughable he scores and people make out hes a superstar yet for multi weeks he had been making mistakes which cost us goals.

Can’t for the life of me think why you’re called Grumpymort. It’s not as if you’re a miserable bugger who moans all the time!

Our fans were immense today. Completely pur-sang the Fulham. In fact hardly heard them.

It’s not as if you’re a miserable bugger who moans all the time! lol TBF though I may not articulate or communicate it the same way however he does have a point about our full backs. I'd be shocked if any Palace fan would express genuine concern were we to bring in alternative resource for those positions. AWB walked into the team years ago and we've had a succession of efforts to replace Joel there which have not worked and is an entirely different conversation than the one about the mighty Joel Ward and how much we all do, or should, love him. Mitchell burst onto the scene full of promise but I think it safe to say has failed to really progress if not gone backwards. He's 23 not 17, has an Int'l cap, played numerous PL games and cannot still be considered to be in early development. AWB left, Ward, Clyne, Ferguson, Hunt, Tomkins even, Kelly, Richards... it's almost an endless list for RB 'experiments' which have still left us wanting. I think many have and will continue to identify RB and LB as positions we need to recruit for.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Referee was truly abysmal. Way out of his depth and a proper clown.

Not a penalty. Disagree, it was a penalty but soft. It was a clumsy challenge from behind. You always take a risk when you do that.

The build up to Edouard goal was just pure class but no talk about that on motd as well as putting the game on last. Typical lineker!!
