I have Ayew to score. 2-2 draw.

Hard to pick the result this one. Pyschologically it's an important game for us (and them). We don't want a quick honeymoon with Roy and the belief generated beating Leicester. A loss plus a poor game could take the team back to the negative way of thinking. Positives for us is that the win with Leicester was achieved without Zaha and with our backs against the wall. But I don't have much confidence in Ayew filling the Zaha gap, which he did quite well against Leicester. Roy intimated about 'two shots at goal' he was disapointed with in that 2nd half. He was in my view referring to Ayew's two, very insipid, wasted shots on goal. He was much more valuable providing assists to more competent scorers, as he did with Mateta for the winning goal. I am very much hoping that Roy has talked to him about creating assists and not trying to 'go it alone' with miracle goals as he is want to do. Ayew is a frustrating player that just does enough to get him game time. But so often, after brilliant snippets here and there, he will play utter sh1te. If Ayew turns up to play football today, utilising his strengths, instead of trying to bring to reality his fantasies of being an EPL top goal scorer, then I am confident of another win. COYP!

Line up announced. Initial observation is midfield looks flimsy. Eze, Doucoure and Schlupp. They’re cut through that like a knife through butter. Never understand way we never play Doucoure and Hughes from start. No doubt Hughes will come on when we’re 1 or 2 down and things will improve.

If Eze and Olise click like last game we can get at Leeds' defence, but I agree that our midfield might be a bit soft. Personally I'm surprised Lokonga isn't starting given how well he was playing before Roy arrived, but maybe he needs to earn his trust. We have to remember we're playing Leeds, not Arsenal or City. So while they might beat us this is an even contest and I really hope we don't play too deep and that we try and take the game to them.

Roy's going for a win, very commendable I'm sure, but for this one I'd prefer the old bore draw Roy. Lokonga is good going forward too. Leeds will come flying out of the traps and we do need a more solid defensive core. Roy has got this one wrong.
