We have 2 strikers in Mateta and Edouard, we are not a club that can just go out and buy a proven premier league striker and just forget about those 2.
It is up to the manager to get the best out of the players that we have, and to that effect Patrick has failed and even he would admit that.
I think that we could have had exactly the same results this year and had shown evidence that we could create shots on target and good movement from the forwards then I dont think that Pat would have been sacked.
The substitutions when things are not working have mostly made things worse and the game management has not been good, I think that the Derry departure was the start of the end for Patrick.

Agree 100%. Has Mateta ever started a game alongside Edouard? Why not? They couldn't do worse than go three games without registering a shot on target...With eight points from the last forty two available, he P.V. was a dead man walking.

No courage was shown in 2nd half at Brighton, just same tactics. Should have pushed Andersen in to Midfield, to give a range of passing for example. Richards deserves to be in our team!!

It has been a crisis in the making for some time and compounded by not building a good enough squad. The players needed a wake-up call and if PV couldn't do that himself, unfortunately his departure became the only option.

No Gallagher to provide energy and motivation. PV Zgot dealt some difficult cards , including no proper wingbacks, but the results have been appalling

We’d be desperate to ask Derry. As much as I like him as a player he has no experience at this level and has failed as a manager at his other jobs.

I’m not sure who we will get in, but the Board and SP are to blame for this.
