We were up against one of the best teams in Europe. Most expected a slaughter. So 0-1 isn't so bad is it.

Yeah yeah yeah - I still feel totally pi55ed off. Not to be able to get a single shot on target - let alone score in 3 games.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Zaha is a striker and top scorer. The other 2 had their chances and produced nothing.

Zaha was poor up front today and only slightly better out wide. He hasn’t been playing well for some time so if that’s who we’re relying on we’re in trouble. He does like a goal against Brighton so we can only hope he gets one. I don’t agree the other 2 have had their chances. Strikers need a run of games and neither has had that.

The last two goals conceded have been an OG and a penalty.

We offer so little going forward the defence just has zero margin of error.

Just feel so flat.

I swear we are playing at 60-70% of our actual ability level.

Amen

We looked very well drilled defensively and ultimately lost because of a soft penalty. Had we been more expansive I think we could have been thrashed without Doucouré there to mop up, especially with the way Luka played. Pep's whole footballing philosophy revolves around patience and trying to draw teams out. It's why they often struggle against us because we don't apply any pressure! I'm so glad all the Liverpool, United, Chelsea and City games are out the way now.

Just the Arsenal one and then even I won't have any excuses for Vieira playing so negatively in the remaining games. So, so frustrating to lose to such a soft goal though

Im upbeat

Thought the tactics were spot on keeping us in the game before trying to get a point or three at the end . Man City not at their best or Palace keeping a lid on it ?

Defence solid just a few half chances for them ,none for us doesnt make great viewing but yet again the lack of a centre forward has cost us

Nobody let us down , we looked united and I have no fears that this side wont get us over the line . The New guy looks decent by the way

Onwards and upwards , COYP

I just want to add , we played one of the best teams in Europe if not the world and lost to a very dodgy penalty . There was very minimal contact but their player went down like a ton of s*** but Olise should not have given the ref the decision to make , not even VARd . Ref was a bit of a cvnt also . How many cynical fouls and very few cards . We offered nothing going forward . gonna be a long rest of the season .Im off to the pub to start a fight with the bouncers .

Well, as frustrating as it was to lose by such a mistake, the performance was not that bad. And TBF, nobody knows if we would have got a result without Olise`s mistake. Unfortunately, a good strategy is to put pressure on an underclass opponent without risking too much and waiting for a mistake - 9 times out of 10 it will come.

Once again the team with most possession, in this case 68%, commit 17 fouls to our 11. Are we just naïve?

Thought we defended well, and so we should having nothing up front.

Guaita our best player and Ahamada looked lively when he came on but we must make better use of what we've got if we are to avoid a relegation dogfight.

Patently obvious that Vieira is out of his depth so things are going to get very sticky by the international break.

There are winners and losers, we just keep losing. It doesn’t matter if it’s just or we were unlucky it’s still losing. I honestly can’t see us scoring at the moment which means no more wins.

Godawful. Three games without a single shot on target, life's a bit short for this isn't it?

I could write an essay on the things I'm pissed off about, from the Hodgson-esque tactics, to the complete nullification of Zaha by sticking him out of position up front, the gradual ruination of Eze and the total unwillingness to show any ambition until the game is already gone by making reactive, rather than proactive, substitutions.

We are sleepwalking into serious relegation trouble and I am quickly losing faith that Vieira is the man to lead us through it.

The only positive is that we don't have to hear any analysis of it on Match of the Day.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...
