Lombardo was wonderful, an inspired signing. I believe he even was manager for a coupe of games? Probably the best player we have ever had, watching him in our team was like MichelAngelo painting you shed.

We just do not have the quality in our squad to do anything but continue to increase our winless run against such classy opposition. PV will make his usual post match statement, that we played and defended well but were unlucky against a top team 0-5

So would I. We need players to win football matches and not just to bolster the profit & loss account in future years. Having said that I'm sure that we have the players to win games and ensure survival and it's just a matter of motivation and tactics Nail on the head - what we desperately need, and soon

Our next three opponents Man City , Brighton and Arsenal are probably the 3 most in form teams in the division and all play in a similar way with lots of movement and switches of play to disrupt opponents and get them out of position.

Good post Pat I agree. 2 points would be a remarkable achievement and set us up nicely for the remaining 'winnable' fixtures to secure safety.

For some inexplicable reason I have a 'Feeling in my water' that our points tally will be greater than the current 27 at the end of the next 3 fixtures. Perhaps I have truly taken leave of my senses and becoming less cerebrally blessed with each passing day.

The longer this week has gone on it’s just so typical palace to go and play like prime Barcelona tomorrow and beat them 3-1 I have got more and more confident daily
