not many of our squad would be starters in event teams below us, let alone in sides like Fulham or Brighton. Not getting a decent RB and CF this January is playing roulette with our chances - hail mary IMHO in the two new signings, don't see how they can make up for the dross in the forward line. Very frustrating that Eze clearly is a class player, but no impact! Shluppie was our best player, although Richards and Guehi were quite decent. Second MU goal was because Ayew completely at sea when he should have been looking after Shaw.

For about the tenth time this season in his post match comments Vieira has said 'we need to be more clinical.'
When will the penny drop?
The current squad do not appear capable of clinical decision making in the final third.
This is a realistic rather than a harsh or negative assessment.
Unless the two new signings or McArthur's return make a dramatic difference I can't see how our decision making will improve.
Wilf will continue to run into blind alleys, Ayew will continue to play with his head down, Olise will contine to either under/over hit crosses and Eze will continue to get caught in possession.
Pass and move is the way forward as can be seen from Man Utd's second goal today.

We will struggle to survive this season. We are a nothing team now.

It’s such a cliche and by no means exclusive to PV but I really hate the stating of the f**king obvious from footballers/managers.

Could you imagine not doing your job and at the end of the day explaining to a manager the obvious things that you are not doing at work?

You might say PV is not actually playing on the pitch but it’s his job to organise, tactically drill and motivate the team to get goals.

Just once I’d like to hear something insightful and indicative of anything proactive to resolve the problem as opposed to just repeating it over and over. ‘I came into McDonalds today believing I’d do well, I had a good morning and felt good on the journey but I just didn’t make any burgers or chips’

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

The side that started today is Championship level. These new lads need to be really good.

Absolute lunacy not to get a forward who can run, head or has any presence or touch in the window.

The manager is the problem FFS, its so obvious its unbelievable, Palace is Hard work, Aggression, pace and directness, the complete opposite of what they are now, if Dyche had the time and money PV has we would be firing and top 8

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

Hot air. Saying something for the sake of saying it. No proof to back it up in the day to day real world. Listen, if we had Messi on loan we'd probably do a little better, ok?

As I said a few days ago on another thread, the alarm bells are ringing very loudly. Nothing has changed my mind, except, maybe they are louder now.

Stick Shluppie up front as our no. 9. He’s got unbelievable balance, he’s fast and he’s got an eye for goal. We’ve got plenty of very good midfielders and our strikers aren’t cutting it. Plus he’s bloody hard which we all like.

If memory serves me right he played as striker for a while at Leicester.

Vieira was briefed to provide a more attacking, possession based style of football rather than the style that had become so unpalatable (for some) under the previous manager.

Other than the two centre backs the recruitment hasn't been good enough and he hasn't been backed.

Richards, Olise, Doucoure look ok but no more than that. Edouard not good enough and Mateta a Paulo Wanchope style punt.

The snobbery of our fans towards Dyche was a joke IMO.

Not what we've recruited or tried to achieve though is it ? The manager may have some responsibility but we should have been more pragmatic in our squad assembly.
