i dearly wish i am wrong but if these 3 games go badly, the panic buttons will start, pushed first by Textor.

Why do you dearly wish you are wrong ?
Didn't you start this thread saying you thought he needs to go ?

I think Lanzo is hoping he is wrong about the results. As a Palace fan he will naturally want us to do well. Happy to be corrected.

Whilst I have been guilty of it in the past, more so in good fun such as the 'Eze in line for Ballon D'or' prophecies, there is a fair bit of stick for him on this thread.

I think it is fair or quite natural to worry constantly about things as a football or more importantly Palace fan. I actually prefer it to the burying of head in sand, deliberate misleading or downright delusional scenarios - we've seen that recently with somebody who was supposed to be running the country! It's almost a fanbase's duty to be on the button for such things.

Personally, I do have faith in our ownership far more than I have actually realised for the past few years. I also have a (contextually) good bit of faith in PV. Of course Leicester was awful (I saw the whole match JIC anybody wondering) and there will always be the desire for more but despite being on the brink of a nervous breakdown as standard in my supporting of our club - I'm not actually too concerned (which if you knew is an headline statement from me).

There's not enough evidence in my eyes to enter complete panic mode yet but I empathise with those entertaining it. The next few games will tell us quite a bit and to be honest I'd probably still blame it on the lack of a midfield and depth before anything else. If it does all go terribly, regardless of who the manager is, I trust the owners to make the right decisions to give us the best possible chance of at least surviving... they've always delivered that thus far.

COYP every game has the potential for disaster and Southampton are capable of beating us well but can still envisage 3 points tomorrow and not thinking beyond that!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Few games, then a lengthy break, then a transfer window. No one should be panicking if these games go badly.
This season has a dozen or so closely matched teams at the wrong end of the table. Three teams will be unlucky and one day soon that will be us. Seems to me, the media are talking up several clubs prepared to spend/gamble a lot to try to improve their chances, cannot imagine we will do that. Point is, this year it will come down to luck, injuries, the odd silly goal conceded, just the wrong schedule etc.

If you read the OP properly if says if the next three games go badly, we are in trouble, especially if PV continues his 4-3-3 which obviously doesn't suit our players, i hope we take at least 7 points from the next 3 games. if we take none nobody will be happy. COYP.

Nothing, except that if i had put 90m plus into the club and we look like possible relegation candidates, which we don't at the moment, i wouldn't be overly pleased, as i have said i hope PV does well and gets some results, But, in three games time it could look a lot worse, for me no points in three, no job for PV

Funny how such a great midfielder as a player, PV cannot come up with a better midfield as a manager. That may send us down this season. Hope January window brings in a right back to take over from Ward, and a hard-tackling, no-nonsense midfielder of the old school. Nothing fancy, just a bite in his approach.

Why? Are Clyne and McArthur both "finished" - either officially or unofficially?

Age is NOT in their favour!

Who said that? But we need an upgrade on Ward (have been for a couple of seasons really.) And how many games can we expect from McArthur this season?
