Why take off Olise? He’s been excellent second half

He looked knackered tbh. Ayew won some pressure relieving freekicks as well.

We're an odd team this season.

Much like the Leeds result I'm elated we've won, but not convinced by the 90 minute performance that achieved it.

Olise does not track back it cost us the first goal.

I was glad Jordan Ayew came on for the last 10 minutes he is invaluable in that role.

Michael is fantastic just needs more experience.

A highly enjoyable game Wolves were very good an advert for the PL.

3 precious points takes us to half-way.

Wolves were much better than Leeds and Leicester were and I think that was a good, hard earned three points against a team that has spent a lot of money (£100m+ in the summer I think) on quality players, regardless of where they sit in the table. First half we were ok, we weren't misplacing passes like at Leicester and we just needed more urgency in our attacks. Second half we stepped it up a gear and we won. A lot of reactionary comments at half-time which I thought were a bit OTT.

So far this season we have still only lost to Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea. Vieira has made tactical changes during games a few times this season (like against Leeds) so when it works like tonight he deserves some credit. Even the subs did their job; Mateta charging at defenders and putting them off, Ayew falling over and winning free-kicks, etc. Onwards and upwards...not long until we overtake Brighton!

Not a game that will live long in the memory, but an enjoyable second-half nonetheless.

In the end he may get one but it still doesn't change the fact he is lazy and overrated which is why no big team has touched him.

You really do post some s***e at times.

Nice summary. We weren't that bad in the first half but got a little lucky Wolves didn't put their chances away. PV did well to change the tactics by switching Eze and Zaha. So big credit their.

Ward and Doucouré treading a tightrope on a yellow and our lack of depth meant we didn't really have adequate replacements. Saying that I thought Doucouré had a great game. If we can add 2/3 good additions in January we could have a decent season...if we don't it'll be quite tight.

Overall a vast improvement on the Leicester game and a great 3 points.

That's a good win.

My own two pence worth...

As it has been since he first set foot in the place, Selhurst is Wilf's house. He does whatever he likes here. Whether he's doing some of it for us or him is irrelevant if we do well out of it, and in any case, very few have his sense of belonging and ownership. His mindset has always been his key asset.

Across last season it became obvious firstly that Anderson and Guehi were very good footballers but average defenders, and secondly that having invested so much in them, they would be picked every week regardless. We needed them to learn to defend properly. They are making notable progress on that front. Clearing things they were mucking about with before, winning headers, getting their bodies in ahead of attackers. They will have days when thier quality on the ball stands out, but they are getting better and better at their main purpose.

Doucoure gets better and better. He's not spectacular, he's only small, but if he continues his current rate of development he'll be a bargain.

The beauty of the winning goal was Edouard making a selfless, well timed run in behind. I'm not even sure Eze was looking for him with the pass but it doesn't matter, the point is that he led the line, which is what he's been missing. If he can continue to do that, he'll play more than not, and we'll get our moneys worth from a talented player.

I get what you are saying but it would be nice, just once, to see a decent first half performance. We were a different team second half and only panicked a bit when we knew we had to hold out for 15-20 mins for the win.

I did point out before to you, he is a match winner. He was our best player again, tonight.
