Callan. Edward Woodward played one of the first antiheroes. His grass was the foul smelling 'Lonely'. As a kid Popeye was a favourite until it went PC with all the violence removed. Ironic that Popeye was sanitised yet years on video games rolled in with a level of violence undreamed of earlier. Off the top of my head:
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

Off the top of my head: My parents along with half the nation loved it for the songs. They didn't need the back faces .

I remember being very frightened by a series called 'Wicked Women', tales of bad girls in Victorian England. One was set in Brixton.

As was Summertime Special and the rest of that "entertainment for all the family" crud that no one but the elderly watched (as there was a boring documentary on ITV or that rude Benny Hill)

A typical show would be comedian who was also the presenter / singing / dancing / novelty act. This show was a throw back to the old musical halls and the audience participation during WW2 e.g. "let''s av a singalong". Anyway we have nothing to brag about, how will future people look at Love Island and Big Brother....

But I want our modern comedians to have the latter day version of Clodagh Rogers on their show and introduce her, out of character, but while wearing a dinner suit.

Always waited with anticipation as no way of knowing how your team was getting on. Edited by Spiderman (14 Sep 2022 10.13am)
