This post has been merged from a topic called 'Southgate Out!' by becky Southgate has tried and we have seen improvements but imho I think a combination of a lack of women and halfwit pundits on match days has cost us and the England manager has not done enough or given enough attention to social and political matters.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Time to go Gareth, absolutely woeful. 4 matches, one goal which was a dubious penalty, we are simply awful. You can use any excuse you like about end of season etc but if you put on an England shirt then you should perform accordingly. I honestly think he should resign and let someone else have the unenviable task of taking a team to the country with the worst human rights abuses in the Arab nations. I really can’t wait!

Absolutely. Another fair point is that it's the end of season for ALL the players in this tournament in any case, so the England excuse quickly falls apart.

There's little chance of him going before the World Cup in my view, and all in all I don't think it would be a reasonable step if they buckle to pressure and relace him. Time wise I do acknowledge that the competitoion may be functioning as his 'Get out of Jail Free card though after a sh!t result like this (and in general of late)..
