Pitch invasions have to banned now-with penalties of dropped points or behind close doors matches. They have changed in nature in recent years. When Palace won promotion in 1979/1989, there were big pitch invasions, but the opposition players were not in any danger. Nor did people go over and try and goad the Blackburn fans. There are now too many idiots involved and the invasions have become unsafe. Some one is going to get seriously injured soon in one of these 'celebrations'. It is not worth it

Everton should be punished for failing to protect PV and the players during and after the game.. Patrick should be commended for his restraint up to the point where he kicked that idiot and forgiven for losing his cool in such circumstances. As for Lampard. No class. Condones the pitch invasion, practically says it’s Pat’s fault for crossing the pitch, and admits he didn’t even have the courtesy to shake his hand after the match. Never understood why the media love him so much. His greatest achievement in football- taking Everton from 16th …. to 16th! Up there alongside taking Chelski from 4th to 4th and Derby from 6th to 6th. The man is a model of consistency! Too late to be nominated for manager of the season I suppose? Luckily Lampard thought he was too good to become our manager, last summer. His tactics appear to be based on the old Wimbledon side, hoof it up the pitch and all run after it and goading the crowd into a frenzy, he is a class act.

As a club Everton were prepared to go to any lengths in attempt to get the result they required . No problem with that but some in the crowd couldnt seperate desperate measures to being drunk on the frenzy of it all . Just as well the fans backed off when Vieira gave the lad a kick ,it could have turned very ugly for which you can only blame the security which was pathetic .

The one overiding worry for me, is i hope to god OUR fans don't do this on Sunday. Why would we invade the pitch? We haven’t since we’ve been in the premier league in real relegation battles and we haven’t going a long way back in the championship. It’s only happening with teams going up or staying up.

The charade that he knows what he’s doing actually works in our favour so it’s probably worth bearing the media w&nkfest over his limited ability as a manager. He hasn’t served a proper apprenticeship and it shows to anyone honest. Many Everton fans with a modicum of intelligence would agree.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

It's strange, but all the newspapers and media seem to be condemning PV for retaliation, whilst social media posts, generally, are either supportive of his actions or feel he didn't go far enough....... Funny old world! Agreed but not surprising as Everton are a PL “institution” and their t**t of a manager is a media darling
