Decent Premier League player with something to offer. We've moved on as a club in terms of playing style and average age profile. He's been a good servant to the club and we've got the best out of him. I wish him well. Was a massive player for us a few seasons ago. He'd be a great signing for a promoted club (Fulham/Forest) as he'd bring some steel and much needed PL experience. No point him staying and sitting on the bench. Good luck to him.

i must admit, he has gone off the boil considerably. Not sure if i would sign him...if i was the Fulham manager. the Championship may now be his level. Nothing wrong with that, its still a bloody good league. as an Eagle, i do not mind seeing Luka lining up against us in August. we were winning 0-2 to Everton, Luka came on ....and we lost 3-2. Luka is no longer a bankable player.

It’s pretty clear that the speed the game is played at in the Prem is now just beyond him. His dad dying at the start of the season destroyed his pre-season and subsequently he never found any form. I don’t think he has suddenly become a bad player, but the speed and energy required to play a high press, more open brand, I don’t think he ever had in his locker. The last ditch lunges that used to be 50:50s are now just a liability, and with other deadball players in the team he really is the victim of the team improving around him and closing him out. He certainly didn’t deserve being boo’d, just because it might be the end of the road in red and blue doesn’t mean he didn’t give everything to the club. I think he could still be excellent in a number of leagues across Europe.

You pretty much took the words right out of my mouth. Totally agree.

i would be comfortable seeing Luka wearing the colours of a newly promoted club. Playing against us. he wouldnt scare me like Wilfried or Mateta. I'd like to see Luka at Everton....but its unlikely as they always spend big money. Edited by PalazioVecchio (09 Jun 2022 9.54am)

Until we gave away a penalty - Tbf your regular penalty taker should score 7/8 out of 10 otherwise he shouldn’t be taking them anyway and most teams have one of those in the side.
