I don’t see the sense in this. He looks a shadow of the player we had and his wages will be too high. Utd will want to recoup a large slug of money. Personally I think Clyne/Ward would suffice for another season. The priority will be to replace Gallagher

Some of the comments are strange in here people claiming he looks a shadow of himself etc.

The guy has stepped up to the highest you can go and look at what a mess the club he is at is in.

He is young I expect he has learnt a lot either he is not that level or doesn't really know what he is suppose to do.

If we was offered him on loan I would take him.

I did think the problem was we only really had 1 full season out of him so didn't get to see what he was really about with his pace getting him out of trouble at times maybe that is his game nothing else and United has seen this (I don't think this is the case but they paid a lot for him to soon he had so much to learn still)

Compare him to Mitchell who has stayed at Palace and clubs like ours is a good place not so much pressure and you get time.

With you on this one GM. AWB's defensive stats are still very good. When I watched him playing for MU, I often got the impression that he was unsure of what he should be doing, but then that applied to a lot of their players.

Put AWB into a team that has a proper structure in which he knows what his role is and he will prosper. He would benefit from a friendly PV arm round the shoulder both in terms of his football and his wider life.

A 1 or even 2 year loan would be a good option for us IMHO.

Apparently United have announced they want AWB to leave club.

You may want to do your own research first but I don't think this is usual b****cks.

Could it hail the return?

If he has any sense he will come back to us and learn his trade at a club where he will be given time.

We have Tayo Adaramola ('Mola') waiting in the wings just like AWB had to here.

'You do the maths'.

Looks like United want to sell not loan, we may need the money for other targets.

Forgot about him, do you think he could step up to the 1st team(as cover) next season, regardless of whether we get AWB or not. Seems to me next season(as it stands) 1st choice - Clyne, back-up - Ward/Adaramola. Obviously, if AWB arrives, puts a whole new spin on things, can't throw him in straight away(unless he has a full pre-season).

The summer transfer window will be interesting & throw up a few surprise's & i, for one, am looking forward to it, for the 1st time in a long time.

But pretty much the conditions we would seek anyway, no?

Possibly, would we 'insist' on a clause that we HAVE to buy him or as the link reveals a 'mandatory purchase clause' in his loan agreement, OR are you perporting to when WE loan a player out?
