Perhaps a village in Worcestershire called 'North Piddle' will be renamed if indeed it takes its name from a chap called 'North' who in bygone days was involved in the egregious act of micturating in public view.

It's a demographic inevitability.

It's a demographic inevitability. So no, they haven't - I thought as much. And again, I'm supposedly the one reflecting my own sentiments.

In my view you have your head in the sand if you don't think place names will be changed. So yes, I do think you're reflecting your own sentiments on it.

Pretty disingenuous way of presenting it - the money is not sat there waiting for local councils to rename places, it's a fund with a much broader objective. I'd be interested to know of any examples of councils being paid for changing a name. How is it disingenuous? Khan has made the money available to “decolonise” place names.

You can predict what you want, the reality is these type of stories and threads get people frothing at the mouth and saying things like “this has to stop” over something which, from what I and my researcher can find, has not even started. If it does happen, it might then be worth talking about.

The link you sent says; These (less than good) findings have prompted the mayor’s office to announce a £1m fund to help kick-start actual change across the city where representation in public spaces is concerned for "Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, women, LGBTQ+ communities and disabled people" a statement says.

We can safely predict you won't be the next Napoleon my man.

OK, you do - I don’t. Fine. It takes all sorts to make liquorice.
