Time we got something out of the BBC. We never get anything out of that tosspot Lawrenson. We'd have been relegated season after season according to his forecasts.

Here's another one:

Only in 1972-73 (two draws against Derby), 1992-93 (a win and a draw against Leeds) and now have Palace remained unbeaten in both top-flight games against the reigning English champions.

So pleased that the players were rewarded for their incredible effort. Everyone from the front to the back put in an amazing shift. Had to ride our luck at times but it feels amazing to be the only team that City have failed to score against this season.

Mitchell was incredible and coped so well usually covering two players.

Clyne was very sharp into the tackle.

Gallagher is probably still running.

Kouyate put in a warriors performance.

The CBs stayed focused after constant pressure.

And everyone one else ran their socks off.

Fantastic stuff.

COYP

Indeed I certainly did.

I really liked Pep to begin with but he does have the sulky, arrogant demeanour of someone who thinks the world owes him something when things don't go his way.

He can have all the money in the world at his fingertips as a manager but can he do it on a cold Monday night in South London?
Better yet can he even win the CL with his billionaire funded club. Mug!

All the top managers are the same, they don't like not winning, that's why they are at the top. He didn't storm off down the tunnel at the final whistle, I saw him with his arm around Guita on the pitch.
He mentioned the pitch, but didn't use it as an excuse, it's the same for both teams.

Good job Vieira thought otherwise.

Agree - accident waiting to happen. Guess it's Jairo, right? Any other midfielders on the bench?

Anyone's nerves not shredded after watching that?

What a sigh of relief when the final whistle went.

A great team performance.

Difficult to choose MOTM. For me it's between Kouyate and Mitchell. I'd probably just say Kouyate shaded it given the lion-hearted way it get going despite injury

I should have been there except for that damn nuisance called Covid.

I hope the lads recover sufficiently for the cup game. That performance will have taken a lot out of the players.

Proud indeed to be Palace

Mitchell and Kouyaté stood out for me, but I couldn't decide who was best as so many defended incredibly well. The discipline and levels of concentration were amazing. Mitchell had a number of moments of real maturity, he's come so far in 18 months and surely he's in England reckoning now, along with Guéhi.

BBC ratings. Shout out to Ederson for being their best player:

9 J Ayew 7.46

16 Andersen 7.44

17 Clyne 7.33

Gallagher's best game for a while.

He seems to have his insane energy levels back.

Today was the day I truly realised how good Mitchell is.

Flawless performance against the champions.
