I can't remember the last time all four results were possible in the final session of the final day in a test match.

But then Jonny Bairstow went all 'one day' cricket. What a knock!

Good advert for test cricket with a full ground watching for free. Outstanding stuff.

Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers

I get either a win for England, New Zealand or a draw - is the 4th result then a tie?

Only the 248th century in the 4th innings of a test match (248 is less than 6% of all test centuries).

I looked all this up; I'm not a cricket encyclopedia.

Also, heard that it was the most boundaries scored during a test ever - aggressive cricket matched with a fast outfield and a smallish ground.

NZ must be waking up this morning wondering what they have to do to win a test match ( in this series) in both games they have been good value for money & with about 65% of each game played looked the team more likely to win -

Yesterday when Root fell uncharacteristically cheaply I thought we were going to play for the draw - just goes to show what a change of management can do for the approach - I cant remember seeing an England test team take a game to the opposition & wrestle it from their grasp like that for many a year, was wonderful to listen to on the app.

'Technically' speaking, aren't all four results always possible when a test match enters its final session? One or more of those results may be highly improbable, but still possible.

Not quite sure if a couple of days have been lost to rain or if the follow on has been enforced.

As I said...some results may be highly unlikely, but they are always possible. That is the nature of cricket. If another poster thinks that to point that out is pedantic, then he can f*** off.
