Plange could also be an indication of Palace following the Chelsea model and signing top lower-league talent on modest fees knowing there's a good chance if it doesn't work out with us we can probably turn a tidy profit. If he say goes to Coventry and notches 10 goals they might be willing to pay a few million to keep him. It's not a model I'd like to see us follow, but it wouldn't surprise me if Parish has been a bit opportunistic with this one. Of course I hope I'm wrong and he turns out to be the next AJ.

Of course he is not a 1st teamer now, give him a chance to grow, learn and mature. Southgate had barely played until he was 21, at 23 he was captain and was playing for England at 25. Should we have kicked him out at 19??

Why loan him out again ?? Not good examples. Apart from being freakishly good, both of those had well over a season of Championship football before we took them on. Plange has had about half a season in total, so maybe a full season out on loan isn't a terrible idea.
