There are those fiercely critical of the penalty decision against Liverpool but in the build up to the incident we were exposed by a long ball over the top which Jota ran on to between Ward and Andersen.
Furthermore another goal conceded from a corner.
Cause for concern.

A long ball described by Liverpool supporters as one of the passes of the season. Sometimes a good pass is just that. I take it from your comment you are not one of the fans critical of the penalty decision. I sometimes wonder if you are a Palace fan at all or just a critic.

For avoidance of doubt I have been an avid supporter of our club since the 60s.

There has been much criticism of the penalty decision from various quarters but I have been pondering as to whether Guaita actually needed to come out and go to ground as doing so risks the type of collision we witnessed in the match.
Perhaps he would have been better advised to come off his line stay on his feet and make himself 'Big'.

In terms of "One of the passes" of the season, the player was under no pressure at all and was able to ping the ball over a static defence to Jota who was in acres of space.

Thought the title of this thread was 'Roy to Watford'?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

For further avoidance of doubt, are you critical of the penalty decision? BY which I mean not Guaita's decision but Mr Friend's.

People need to get a grip and forget about Roy, last season we finished with a -25 goal difference, and were thumped in a number of games. We finished 14th, that's with defensive maestro Roy's "best squad evah" playing the worst football ever seen at Selhurst Park.
On the contrary, in Patrick's first season in the job sorting out the mess Roy left behind we are in 13th place with a -3 goal difference, and playing an attractive style of football that neutrals have remarked upon.
It's a season of renewal and of course there will be a few blips along the way, but all the Roy arse kissing worship really needs to stop, he's gone, get over it.

Here here - hopefully agent Roy will get them playing dog s*** football and get them relegated at the same time which is exactly what those muggy Watford cvnts deserve.

Kevin Friend's original decision was 'NO penalty' but he was asked to review his decision and we all know that when referees view the incident on monitors they reverse their decision.

"Clear and obvious" brings with it subjectivity and as such is the catalyst for much debate.

I would like to be a fly on the wall when he meets Harry the Hornet. They have history, I hope he transfers him out. Good luck, last place I’d go.

Nothing personal, but I hope Roy gets the sack with two games too play. That would mean Watford are right in the s***e and desperate, staring relegation in the face.

Yep

There are a few contenders for the title but Watford look to me to have the worst defence in the league and if he shores that up they have the firepower to nab enough goals on the break to eke out some results.

He didn't shore up our defence in the last two seasons, we were an analysts nightmare

Last season we conceded 66 league goals - Fulham & Sheff Utd who were relegated conceded less goals.Only 2 teams conceded more goals.

The previous season we conceded 50 PL goals.10 teams conceded more goals.

I think Roys job is going to be very tough. He will have virtually no time to get anyone in and Claudio Ranieri is a decent manager and could not get them playing as a team. Roy's systems and drills he is renown for will also take time to implement and players that don't buy in to it will still be at the club.

Did you not see the s*** spilling onto the Selhurst pitch when Roy was our manager? Perhaps you thought that was "entertainment"?

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.
