Agreed. Benteke on for Eze please. This wasn't the game to start him. Edouard to the left - give us outlets and hold up play.

Butland having a great game.

VAR correct both times.

Agreed. Correct substitution

Sadly, Eze can’t tackle for toffee.

He’s not built for heavy weather.

Disagree. It’s about holding the ball up and giving players time to get up the field. Eduoard doesn’t do it well. Benteke does.

Spot on. Didn’t think we’d miss Kouyate quite as much as we have. We need to really invest in our midfield. A strong, athletic holding midfielder will cost £20+million but it’s obviously required.

Brighton are missing their two best CM but we are still being destroyed in the middle.

Koyoute. Wilf and Ayew would make such a difference.
For those that have said Koyoute is a waste of space hold your heads in shame - we could do with him now for sure

I said very early in this thread that it a chance for the likes of Olise and Eze to usurp the more established forwards.

I think it has shown the reality, to many on here, that the likes of Ayew and Kouyate have that experience and know how to put themselves about physically. At the moment we don't have that without them. The likes of Eze and Olise are exciting and `sexy` in the way they play but you need that workmanlike know how too. We need to remember this first half the next time people slate the old guard.

Have to say, and have felt it for sometime, with all the talk about getting the likes of Nketiah the reality is it's ridiculous that and upgrade on Ward is so overdue! No doubt he has been a brilliant servant for the club but for a fullback to offer so little and look so uninventive and lost going forwards and as captain to be making so many mistakes. We cannot wait, wait and wait in the hope Ferguson gets fit and is the answer.

No subs?

Maybe swap Schlupp and Eze? Eze better in the middle, Schlupp better out wide?

We've got to push higher up the pitch. We did that in the second half against Millwall and got results. Eze and Olise can't do much from their own half.
