Think i will be wrong about that, i think they have tried, maybe Luka and Kelly out and one or two in, who knows

To my knowledge there has been no indication whatsoever of interested parties in Kelly and Luka. Both will be on sizeable wages given their age and (lack of) form. Do you have some kind of insight?

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

Reading want Luka on loan

Maybe Roy has a secret ploy to buy our crap and relegate Watford, he is a Palace boy at heart

"Will we do any business at all?

I suspect that we will only buy if one of our key targets suddenly becomes available otherwise we will sit tight. For once we are not desperate for reinforcements.

One player we might get is the young striker at Arsenal Eddie Nketiah who I believe is 6 months from a free transfer. He didn't seem keen to come in the summer but now that he has seen how well the team is playing under PV maybe he is tempted.

Apart from that I don't see any others."

I'd say that is v unlikely, Arsenal are a striker down so want him for cover.

We aren't desperate so hopefully wont throw money at anything silly

van de Beek would have been fun but that ship has sailed now. Nketiah doesn't feel like a signing for now but rather with one eye on next season. I reckon he'll end up abroad though. We may get a surprise, but I think the club are probably happy even if Vieira could be happier.

In terms of outs I can't see anyone near the main 20 going anywhere. Rak-Sakyi or possibly Jairo might get a loan? If West Ham really did come in and offer £10m+ for Benteke it might be hard to turn down, but is that really likely?

With Newcastle blowing their load and Watford and Everton getting new managers there could be slight cause for concern, but whether that will be enough to encourage spending we'll have to wait and see. After such a great summer anyone else was only ever really going to be the proverbial cherry on the top.

Mateta convert loan to perm.

Otherwise we're probably OK to the summer.

What makes us ok is that for the first time we don't have (literally) half the squad injured with half a season to go.

I think the problem with both Van de Beek and Ramsey is wages and that is why they fell through. We can not afford a 100k player unless we offload a high earner. Possibly this is why we are hearing romours about Benteke. However unless we buy another striker will we take the risk of being left with 1 in Edouarde and a loan striker in Mateta (i don't think we have purchased yet).

I think coming in will be Mateta (signing permanent) and a young CF from Derby if we can agree with league a way to loan back. Since Derby are under a transfer embargo they need permission on any incomings.

Out goings I think a couple of U23 will be loaned out to lower league clubs to see how they cope in senior football. Luka on loan I can't see Reading being able to pay his wages in full and so it will come down to how much we are willing to subsidise. Kelly anything is possible but with his ability to cover across defence he is a useful bench warmer. Jairo he needs to move on it has not worked in EPL for him. I think a permanent transfer to Watford is possible or a loan abroad with obligation to buy.

although I think we have a couple of players not prem standard and a few who's prem career's has come to the end I still think we do not need to add to or get rid of any players in this window . I think we should wait until the summer and have a clear out then .

Am I the only person that thinks we need a left back ASAP? What happens, if Mitchell gets injured? Who do we have to play in that position. Our only option is Schlupp? I have seen him fill-in in that position before, but his footballing DNA is all about attack rather than defence, and I can see big issues.

Right back is also an issue, but at least we have (some) cover there with Clyne and Ferguson.
