You must be joking here. At Trump's rally on Jan 6th. Rudy "trial by combat!" Whip up a bunch of idiots into a frenzy and unleash them on the capitol, and you get predictable results. Saying the violence was not incited is absolute nonsense. I dont whitetash ANTIFA and BLM riots. Protests turned into looting rampages. Not understanding why black people in America might want to protest, is quite silly though. Crossing the line into looting and rampaging is wrong of course. That documentry was on bbc2 last night, suprisingly, it showed the lady from California getting shot, she had climbed above the others as if to get up in to the ceiling and the officer shot her through the door.

Mmmm....so does that mean that Chicago and Detroit are right wing then? You seem very eager to call the right wing more violent but the reality is that when it comes to homicide and violent crime figures you (and by you I mean the Democratics) don't actually give a damn.

Indeed, seemed deliberate to me. To justify what he did they had to create a narrative....and that's what they did. The difference between the right and left perspective is so far apart now that I can see no realistic compromises other than an agreement for one not to control the other. Edited by Stirlingsays (21 Oct 2021 11.57am) Go break into any business, with a hundreds strong mob, beat down the security guards, chant for the murder of the company executives, ransack the building, and attempt to get closer to your target (hanging Mike Pence, or killing Nancy Pelosi) and any security guard in America would be justified to use deadly force to repel the crazed mob with their bear spray and tactical gear. This wasnt a business, this was the US Capitol. This wasnt a security guard, this was a Capitol police officer. The guy was doing his job, plain and simple. You wanna go break into the US Capitol and run amok - please understand there are guys there with guns, she put herself in that situation, like all her other moron MAGA friends, and she paid the price.

Best I not respond beyond that.

Once again Stirley, the statistics mentioned are related to domestic terrorism. Calculated, planned acts of terrorism. For example the right wing MAGA crew who wanted to adbuct and "put on trial" Gretchen Whitmer. I'm not sure inner city cats in Chicago and Detroit fighting gang wars are too politically inclined in either direction. There aren't many Chicago gang members joining in School board meetings in Arizona either.

Firstly 'domestic terrorism' figures would be a drop in the ocean compared to homicide and violence generally yet that's what you want to focus on. I point out it just shows that when it comes to actual murder and violence you aren't really concerned. Edited by Stirlingsays (22 Oct 2021 3.15pm)

Mentioning a black guy who made up a story about being racially attacked, as some kind of counter argument to the vast swathes of right wing MAGA loonies who perpetrate acts of domestic terrorism. Maybe throw some Orwell quotes in for effect next time?
