The bloke in the second link, Jacob, is someone I can admire. Some might say, in a crisis like we are having in gb, that any HGV driver, with a few months to spare, should be in his cab , delivering fuel, turkeys and vegetables to keep our old folks alive! This guy is taking on a challenge instead, rowing the Atlantic, some might consider it a jolly-not me! To share in this epic achievement, Jacob is allowing you to pay for it, with a crowdfunding page, this is solely so you can say you had a hand in it, sharing the spoils so to speak! This brings me on to a challenge I have always considered myself, after one of my great heroes, Fletcher Christian-of the bounty fame! My -or "our" challange, as you will find out, is to see if I can survive, for a whole year, on the Pitcairn islands, in the South Pacific! Your generous donations h.o.l will be for me to sleep within 200 meters of the beach, whether in a hammock in the afternoon siesta, or one of the beach houses past the white sand! I will only be allowed to drink rum and beer on a night, no more than 30 measures a day, eat lobster, fish or crab, apart from a few roast beef /chicken dinners on a weekend, and tortilla chips to complement the beer. The local ladies will help me with any chores I need doing, so your money will be finding its way in to the islands community- this can drip down in to schools and hospitals etc! The only things i can do in the beach houses is watch tv(even palace), read books, watch films(even the bounty), drink, socialise and sleep! I think £100 each as a donation should get me up and running, you can give more as you see how i"m getting on as I will be posting on a monthly link to let you know I"m ok, fingers crossed, and haven"t drowned coming off the jet ski etc, give generously people, this is a challange that WE are truly ALL IN IT TOGETHER! CP X

You should become a 'pensions' scammer CP, you'll get more money quicker that way.

Disclaimer: I am not in any way advocating this is a legal suggestion.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Same graph starting in 1963.

Basically shows Bert the Head is completely wrong, hardly a surprise there.

I've tried to find stats on that but couldn't in the limited time I did it for.

However, it can be said that the post war immigration was controversial as is the argument that it was required....except for a low wage economy as I find your contention that it was for mostly union jobs point doubtful....in reality it would have been mixed along the lower wage employment areas.

Regardless the statistics for net immigration in the UK from 75 can be seen here.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Ha ha, nooooooooo, I just think we should all do more for charity and thought I would do my bit mate, to be fair I get bored on holiday after a week laying on a white sandy beach in 90 degrees with bikini clad ladys walking by disturbing your sleep, or kicking over your beer! Thats why I have gone for a yearly challange, and if you give generously, maybe even extend it! If the club want to get involved I could wear a different palace top every month for the video call, perhaps start the first Pitcairn island cpfc supporters club! Shall we say £100 mate?

It"s an expression I have never heard mate- is it some kind of slang for a tonne? I"m hoping its light a candle with two dozen mate, but do what you can afford, all for a great cause!

But I haven't been sucked up your propaganda piece that insults my intelliegence.

I'm hoping that was done for comedic effect.
