Would love for this to happen but i dont think Chelsea would take 2 pints of lager and a packet of crisps for him . No only joking , would love it ! What happens if he gets injured ? the way he plays and some of the tackles that he has had on him have been crunchers, im suprised he got up and played on !

I would be more than happy if he was our only signing in the summer. Unfortunately I just can't see it because he is playing so damn well. If Chelsea want to keep him he will definitely stay with them. If they want to sell him he may be out of our budget range even if we sign nobody else. I hate falling in love with loan players! They always break your heart!!
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. |

He's a bit special isn't he. Lets just hope we are in a decent league position at the end of the season and he has had such a good season he wants to stay!

€40 million, 5 year deal, buy back clause €50 million after min 3 years. Chelsea wont have room for him for a few years yet.

Not sure he’s the right player for Chelsea. His long range shot hasn’t been proven yet. Can’t think of anything else to put them off. Plus he said he is loving it here. Would be so good if he stays.

IF he continues to play as well as he has been playing, even if Chelsea don't think he'll "fit into their plans" I doubt we can afford to pay what he'd be worth on the open market.

Sadly I just can't see him either wanting to stay, Chelsea wanting to sell and/or us being able to afford him. He's been absolutely outstanding and will have aspirations of the England team and of winning stuff. My gut instinct is he'll go back and be a fringe player for Chelsea for a year or two before moving to another big club.

I think we've to just enjoy what we've got this season.

Given his age and the competition at Chelsea it wouldn't surprise me at all if we managed to negotiate an extension to the loan. In terms of buying him I guess a lot will depend on if he can maintain or even improve his current form, if he can then I imagine we would face stiff competition for his signature.
