Well, from my experience over the last 30 years and now living in my 8th EU country is that the vast majority of Brits don't integrate at all into the local communities unlike the majority of EU citizens in the UK. That's mostly down to language as most Brits don't speak or bother to learn the language of their hist country, further isolating them from everything that that country has to offer. Most EU citizens speak English, most very good English, especially those that moved to the UK which has helped them integrate, start businesses, get good employment etc. Another aspect is that the number of Brits within the EU is tiny compared to the number of EU citizens that are in the UK, of course comparing a group of 27 countries to 1. Something like 3.5 million EU citizens in a country of 69 million instead of 1.5 million Brits in a region that contains 450 million.
The recent figure is over 6m have applied for settled status, whereas estimates gave the figure as around 3m

The population of London is over 2,000,000 more than it was 20 years ago with another 1,000,000 projected by 2030. Something to consider when the housing shortage is mentioned or the NHS and schools are under pressure.

Believe it or not I did realise the point you were making, which I tend to agree with. Thought it might be insightful to update the figures
