Only the other evening whilst in a Public House my with dear wife, I brought up the subject of Bri-Nylon drip-dry shirts which seemingly have gone out of vogue.I also mentioned how one never sees tie pins any more.

Bet she looks forward to your nights out

On certain nights out, the needle on her dashboard's jocularity tank leans on 'Empty' like a fallen elm.
All my fault of course.

One sees certain gentlemen (Generally quite ripe in years) wearing Jesus sandals and socks and as far as I am concerned this is not a good look.

Quite recently I visited a friend who was wearing 'Crocs' and I am not enamoured by them one iota.

agreed willo.
do you know why they have the holes in them?
Its so you can see your dignity seeping away when you wear them

Rest assured I would never be seen with 'Crocs'.
On the subject of holes, many, many years ago I used to possess some string vests but not any more.I think vests are not in vogue at present.

My brother who occasionally posts on here lives on a boat. I got up one morning early and within minutes my shoes were sopping wet to his amusement. "And that's why me and the missus wear crocs".

They have their purposes.

If one is wearing those Crocs when the heavens open, one's feet will get drenched due to the holes whereas this will not be the case with more conventional footwear.

often see cooks / chefs wearing them also.
for the air around your feet i guess.
However we need to be careful, its a slippery slope.
(the most common croc wearers are big big women)

I saw a string vest worn in a 'Rab C Nessbit' style once in portugal.
Our apartment overlooked a bar.
every evening around 5 a scotsman & his wife would arrive.
He had on slacks & a tartan blazer.
underneath the blazer he sported a white string vest !
(groovy f***er)

I do know a big-boned lady who resorts to Crocs.
Crocs on the end of generously proportioned legs, not an attractive look at all.
