You need to switch off the media to avoid your mind being conditioned by them. One of the fears about television was that messages can be sent to your brain from a blank screen, your mind doesn't just interpret images. It probably explains how people vote for Johnson, as nobody in their own right mind would do so.

I say the same about Twitter, which I have never used. I find it mind boggling how people/businesses get influenced by Twitter users.

So everyone who voted for Brexit is a racist or all racists voted for Brexit ? As pointed out already, Brexit voters were not exclusively white or right wing. But having said that, it's unfair to expect Orange1290 to have any subject knowledge, his expertise seems to lie in tropes and lack of spellcheck. But all opinions welcome as ever on HOL.
