All seems to depend on where the Brexit vote from 2019 goes to. Tice wants the Conservatives to step aside on the basis the Reform will beat Labour if the votes go to Reform. The voters know that Brexit was done and there are moves to get the levelling out going faster, expect a vaccination success bounce also. Going to be close, Starmer is a seen as a Getbackinner and has a very bland start with no policies. A Labour loss will mean very little as a lot will change before the next General Election, but the LP will see a loss as a failure of Starmer's approach post the Jew hating regime In betting Labour and Conservatives neck and neck Originally posted by Matov
Been reading some analysis of the forthcoming Hartlepool by-election with Labour already starting to manage expectations. Hartlepool. A constituency where Labour should be weighing their vote, not counting it. And yet now, even with Brexit done and dusted, it is now considered potentially in play. After over a decade of Tory national control. Personally, I cannot see them losing it but seriously, how far have they fallen for it not to be a bygone conclusion? And if they do fail to hold it...then it's over for Labour. They would need to seriously take a look at why they even exist anymore. Edited by HKOwen (21 Mar 2021 1.08am)

Its the equivalent of say, rural seats in Surrey suddenly becoming at risk of a Labour win. If Labour can no longer rely on northern seats like Hartlepool it is in absolute danger of ceasing to be relevant anywhere. It held Hartlepool in December 2019. On the back of both Brexit and (supposedly) Corybn. The two issues that made then unelectable, at least according to the 'experts'. To then lose it less than 18 months later would be an utter disaster for Labour. Oppositions that go on to form governments at the next GE do not lose by-elections. They win seats from the Government. That is how this works. Where does it actually go from there? As I said, I can envisage them losing it. But just the reality of us even discussing it is indicative of how deep the rot in Labour is.

As I said, nice racist comment. And a well thought out intelligent reply. I am no fan of divisive identity politics but a stupid comment like yours casts a long shadow, although you don't give a feck etc etc. Originally posted by Stirlingsays

I can envisage them losing and as far as I am concerned Labour are constantly ceasing to be relevant and that's no bad thing. If you look at the absurd policies of the SNP in terms of their woke agenda, new hate law etc, that is what the Labour party would become IMHO if let loose to make legislation. Labour is no longer the party of " the working man " whatever that means. There is enough of a Corbyn following hunkering down and keeping quiet to form a fifth column against Starmer. They are called the Socialist Campaign Group Originally posted by Matov

Having read your views on earlier threads regarding the Hong Kong situation I not going to take your views on what's ethical seriously at all as it's plainly 'pick and choose'. I suspect you're a fan of whatever you consider is best for you as an individual. As for 'racism'.....Considering the region you work in I have to laugh. If I want to make a non PC joke then you're going to have to suck it up hypocrite. Edited by Stirlingsays (21 Mar 2021 11.25am)

Man, the pick and choose expediency really p1sses me off. It's one thing to get this from the left but when this comes from the elsewhere I'm more than willing to provide the full two barrels. But hey, you carry on using the language and ideology of the left while you complain about them. But for me if I want to make a joke that offends your sensibilities then tough, it's called freedom. As for 'identity politics', what a joke...if you actually gave a damn about that then you wouldn't have chosen to make your living working within one of the most identitarian regions in the world. Still, fine to say that to me isn't it....I'm not going to cause you any issues. Yeah, whatever hypocrite....I'm sweet, you carry on being sour. Edited by Stirlingsays (21 Mar 2021 1.22pm)

I know they do but is it a lot of people or a small number? I can't imagine being offended by someone saying to me " oh f*** off and go eat some fish and chips". I've heard hundreds of black people take the piss out themselves for eating chicken and then I've seen a white person mention it and it's made national news. Maybe there's something I don't understand about it all.
