To me, you are just blind to his inefficiencies and in lots of cases make up narratives to support your own agenda. I’m still unsure if you are just on the windup. Mate that is all TP is, along with his Mate/pseudonym Wisbech Eagle - just a wind up..!! He has nothing to add in terms of constructive debate..!! COYP

It can be argued that we are steady lower mid table candidates now after 8 seasons. What I would very much like to see this season is for Roy and the team to push on for a 10th place finish. If this were achieved then not many could argue that Roy is doing a bad job. Of course this would mean winning a few more games than at present.

But Roy is not getting most out of this squad and we are underachieving..!! I see loads of references on here about what Roy has done in the past - but that's the whole point that was then and this is now and he ain't doing it in the here and now..!! He just stubbornly sticks to his tactics and he ain't letting the players express themselves - e.g. Eze as other have said on here Roy still ain't played him in his preferred/best position..!! Why because it doesn't fit into his rigid formation/tactics - so my question is if Roy is going to stick to that why buy Eze in the first place..?? COYP

So I am not saying Roy has to go because we lost the last couple of games...!! I am saying Roy has taken us as far as he can and it's time to move on. Reason I say that is that IMO Roy's tactic's are sterile and he is not getting the most from the squad he has available to him - so we are underachieving..!! As I said previously "treading water" is not good enough we need to progress and IMO Roy is no longer capable of helping us progress - in fact he is hindering progression. But that's my opinion. COYP

COYP If he played Eze as a number 10 we'd have three narrow in midfield and the left and right flanks and thus our full backs exposed bcos our defensive midfielders are too slow to cover the gaps. So we have to play with left sided and right sided midfielders - two banks of four. He could play Eze off Zaha in a 4-4-1-1 but he'd be basically organising our team around him, attractive idea but is it an unnecessary gamble?

Mate I don't see it that way - play Eze in the 10 role behind Benteke and put Zaha back out left (he's not a striker) and Townsend on the other side. Then that's balanced and not narrow, beyond that round pegs in round holes..!! COYP

IF we survive this season, have no desire to inject funds to 'Freshen' the squad and we are once against reliant on an aged squad, my view is that we will be 'Odds-On' for relegation next season. Nice to see you've got your prediction in for next season nice and early Willo - predicting relegation for next season in January the preceding season must be a record even for you..!! But if Roy remains in charge perhaps after 9 seasons of you predicting Relegation you may finally get it right..!! COYP

COYP To some extent I agree with if we are only ever treading water then at some point we will go down, but it is how we balance ambition and make sure it is sustainable. Goldberg had ambition but it wasn’t sustainable and it wasn't very realistic either. At the moment we are treading water hoping that the development of the ground and the academy will be the lifeboat to take us to the next level. If in 4/5 years time we have upped the capacity and adding by10k to the crowd and £25-30m to our turnover that takes us to the level of West Ham and Newcastle . If the latest batch of Ruben Loftus-Cheeks, Jadon Sanchos and Calum Hudson Odois are lining up to represent their local club then I would be a lot more comfortable with taking risks and potentially going down because there is a lot more chance we are coming straight back up at this moment if we go down we could be left with just happy memories. After Man city we have 7 games that are all individually winnable and getting 10 pts and virtually being safe wouldn’t be unforeseeable. Then it might be nice to see Jairo getting more games and Banks and others get a chance
