Quite simple really. If he doesn't go in this window he will see the rest of his career out with us for sure. Then we can build stronger and more youthful team around him.If he goes we spend a bit more on a Replacement and move on.

Before the lockdown Wilf was playing well and so was the rest of the team. The injury to him at Liverpool and the team selection that night, seem to have completely derailed us. We have not been the same since that night, admittedly we have had a load of injuries and all in the defensive areas again. If we can just draw a line under this season and get some proper depth in our team with some less injury prone players to compliment what we have got then you will see Wilf shine again. At the moment we are not seeing the best of him because of where we are at the moment. This isn’t a time to sell him in my opinion...

I really have no idea how this is going to go this window. Then Parish is a fool and not a man of his word. Zaha wanted out last summer, out of respect he should have been allowed to go...

He's barely made it out of 3rd gear this season. Defensively has been excellent, offensively very average. Nobody above mid-table will buy him and nor will he want to go to this level of club, nor will the board accept a small offer when if he has half a good season next year he'll be back in the 50M bracket. It should have been his last season but as it stands, it wont be. In fact the longer this goes on the more likely he'll be here until he cant cut it in the prem...or we get relegated.

But no one met our ridiculous valuation. Answered your own question... and yes, Parish showed Wilf no respect by pricing him out the market - the word floating around was Wilf signed on big to help the sell fee - so naturally when Arsenal came calling, Parish not even meeting in the middle, that's foolish - cos look at the season we just had... Zaha isn't himself... we can all see that, was that due to the transfer saga, was that due to him putting his head down and working more on his defensive display, not worrying about getting the goals for us or something else?

Er Arsenal offered just over £40 mil over a ridiculous number of years. The £52 mil Everton bid never happened.

Not sure I see your point? Where did I say anything to the contrary? Let's say Parish sits down with Arsenal, you think that was going to be their final offer? C'mon... And look, a year has past... we have no money for Wilf, no real return this year and he looks to be off and as I said earlier, we will be lucky to get 40 mil... so we are no better off having parish say no deal.

To be honest Wilf needs to go, he wants away keeping him will not do either him or the club a lot of good. Personally I feel a move abroad would be the best for him and will let him play in the CL as he is unlikely to get any of the top 4 in England. The only issue will be if our board will spend any on the money we get for him. As things stand they seem to have a closed wallet policy.

I agree... I also think he has to buy into it too.. he can single handedly get us some silverware... a cup run, maybe even a chance to compete in europa... I always think, what would I do... if I were in these lads shoes.. money isn't an issue... it would be a case of, build the team up or I go... is he top 4 standard... we will never know and for all it's worth, he had his shot at united... and blew it.. he's in charge of his destiny - he knows where he is best suited.

Um, If Wilf wanted away surely he would be endeavouring to play at his best. This would encourage teams to come sniffing. I say teams, this would put up his price which we want.
