Here's something really juicy recorded just over a month ago. The main topic is Area 51 YouTube but you need two hours and 8 minutes spare to get to the end. But it's worth it. Love and laughter will protect us.

Love and laughter will protect us. Got bored after eight minutes. The presentation didn't really lend itself to credibility did it. Some of the men tasked with clearing up Roswell told their families that it was aliens and that recovered technology was back engineered later. I have heard a similar story via people with some personal experience. Are they all really making it up? I suspect not. One has to weigh all the evidence and not just focus one incident at a time.

If I had to take a position I'd say that UFOs are real, though probably rare in relation to their reporting. As to what they are....that's a whole other layer. In relation to the witnesses I think it's similar to the Loch Ness monster. Some people will outright lie, some will experienced events they can't explain or that shook them up and attribute it to Nessie and others will be away with the fairies. Studies have come to the conclusion that there wouldn't be enough prey to support Nessie so I think it comes down to more of the imagination than reality. However, when it comes to UFOs, there is far more evidence that is harder to dispute.

Unfortunately, in the wacky world of television and internet, all these curiosities become fodder for entertainment purposes and the lines are blurred between what is highly plausible and what is totally bonkers.

Yes it has a slow start. I was getting bored after twenty minutes and nearly switched off. But I stuck with it. The presentation has no relation to its credibility whatsoever. There's plenty of stuff to get your teeth into once you're done.

If we can get an accurate answer to the Fermi paradox we can effectively take any censoring of information out of the equation and we would be far closer to answering questions on our place in the universe and our relationship to other life.

The obvious answer is that the Fermi paradox is just a symptom of censorship. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (17 Mar 2021 12.39pm)

I also like the idea....and there are many ideas on the Fermi paradox that this is a simulation and there is no requirement to build in other civilisations....essentially beyond a certain point we are observing a visual 'software toolbox' as it were. I'm not saying I go along with that but I like the contention......Some solutions to the paradox are quite scary while others simply fascinating....but only one can be true. Another one I like is the inter dimensional...At some point civilisations work out how to access other dimensions and that's why we don't see evidence of galaxy colonization. I'm on a bit of a roll with this stuff YouTube just over an hour. This guy is fearless. No wonder he was taken out. The bit where he explained how he lost his fingers was particularly gripping ( no pun intended)
