Those who deny all this are denying the basis of Darwin's biological diversity. If a gene pool has been separate for tens of thousands and perhaps hundreds of thousands of years there are going to be different genetic averages that exist between them......That's true for every other species on earth....But apparently when it comes to humans all this appears to be controversial. There are positives and negatives to all our genes. No individual is to blame for anything they come into the world with.....But you can't have grown up discussions with idealistic zealots. But hey, if you’re happy to let comments like shooting anyone that looks like a terrorist slide on your watch and then have an issue with people like me and brauny calling people out for their nonsense then that’s for you to be comfortable with. So what does a terrorist look like Dan? Surely you aren't implying that shooting terrorists is 'racist'.

Does racism have anything to do with racial traits? These days we are all pretty mixed up anyway. I don't think it does. It is surely about discriminating between people because of their apparent racial (and sometimes these days, other) characteristics. Just as I don't think we should excuse behaviour for arbitrary reasons nor should we make assumptions that someone is more likely to exercise any particular trait because others in their assumed group do. If you do, then that's racist. In my opinion. A aroma of white supremacy hangs in the air over this thread, and sometimes others here. Just recently someone referenced "Edward Dutton". Not knowing him at all I looked him up. His Wikipedia page and the one on "Rational Wiki" paint totally different pictures. Dutton is described on RW as "an alt-right eccentric English anthropologist, race and intelligence pseudoscientist, Islamophobe, anti-semite and white supremacist. There is much more, including "Dutton holds many crazy beliefs and most of them focus around eugenics and race and intelligence, but also p****-size." Wikipedia is much kinder. It simply says "Dutton is an English anthropologist. Dutton has a degree in Theology from Durham University and a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Aberdeen. He has been editor of Mankind Quarterly since 2019. We are so divided these days that it sometimes feels we are existing in separate realities. It's as true here as in the USA. As it is with how we perceive racism.

Dutton is a bit wacky and eccentric on somethings and I agree with him on others.....but so what. According to some on here every-time you reference someone that means that they are your 'hero' or you're vouching for everything they stand for. It's not a thread about Dutton.
