This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

My 'Weirdo Food' thread turned into 'Reader's wifes' without the pictures.

We're bringing people together.

I once had this girlfriend who liked having toothpaste licked off her.....very weird but a kind of 'two for one' exercise for me.

The relationship didn't last long but I had the most stunningly good teeth during it.

Right.... something that I’ve never known if it’s weird or not.

Banana sandwiches. Absolutely love em.

wow!
you are the only person bar my mum & nan.
both had the sandwich with butter like it had been put on with a shovel & sugar.
my nan would punch the f*** outta the sarnies to flatten it.

Those poor old Philistines.....just can't catch a break.

You'd think the modern day lefty would love them.

No, like I say to my partner.....Marmite on crumpets is an offence against nature and should be met with a twenty pence fine and a 10 stroke tickle stick suspended sentence.

It does sound intriguing.....if totally horrible.

st georges walk has recently been flattened.
The panino(known locally by the shop boys in the 70s as the p**** bar) remained open until then.
That and the nice sandwich bar at the top of Katherine st(this closed 80s) I used to frequent daily.
As the shop junior I'd be sent out to buy the older salesmen breakfast & do the lunchtime sandwich run also.
I worked corner of Katherine st in John Leonard mens outfitters.
the jewish guys always had ham salad
Remember the panino had the 1st microwave even then, a beast of a machine.
I couldnt believe the staff not burning their hands retreiving a nuked meat pie from it.
Place was chokka in its heyday.

I recall a popular sandwich bar in Dingwall Road called the 'Dingwall cafe' which was owned by a cheerful chap called Doug Ali who used to greet customers from behind the counter and take their orders.

There was also another sandwich bar between Dingwall Road and East Croydon station which was run by an Italian lady and her English husband but I'm afraid I cannot recall it's name.
