Everyone is entitled to an opinion and for that to be respected. So i would suggest you practice what you preach; otherwise you just come across as being old and bitter and undermining your viewpoint in the process. The state of this thread is embarrassing- lads stop the bitching. We can disagree without being complete arses. Now I would have been furious had I been thrown out of my seat but to be objective I can admit I thought the new singing section was a success. That said they do need to work out when to sing songs the rest of the ground knows. Still think the whole scheme was a mess.

For all the aggro that moving the HF caused I can't honestly say it was worth it. I suppose their singing seemed a bit louder, but as a couple of others on here have said half the time the rest of us in the Holmesdale don't know what they are on about. And flippin'eck that drum is going to do my head-in...

I moved from LH ,Block E, back row because didn't think I couldn't handle the drums banging. I moved to UH,The Gallery, front row, I'm now right above them..fcking drums ( there are 2 ) not only are they banging in me luggs, now I can see them as well.

I am going to take a big packet for the Villa game. The drummers are mental not having any.

I'm in block b just behind where the hf were and it's strange not having anyone in front singing now, It did sound good at times but the sound doesn't travel well from the back of the stand so it's gonna need the whole stand joining in which hopefully will soon happen. I am glad I don't have to put up with flags waving in front of me though, everything else was good, hopefully the noise will spread.

There was a time when 'We love you' and 'when I was a young boy' fell into the category of 'we don't know what they're on about'. They have to be persistent if they're to catch on and I'm sure they will over the next couple of games. Especially now that the people sitting with them want to sing. I've been in the same boat as you, but once you can work out the lyrics they're mostly pretty decent and original (for England anyway, mostly copied from European clubs).

Or maybe as you say someone asked them to avoid raising the flags due to high winds OK, so I checked it out and there was to be a group banner but it wasn't put up - at the last minute - due to the wind. Similarly there was a reduced number of flags.

Strange that some on here from the ARFUR ( which is where i sit) thought that the singing section was louder. I thought the singing wasnt louder. I miss not having the HF close enough to respond in full voice. also can we please reserve the " we love you" song for when we score as only then do people get behind it and its awesome. otherwise it a a damp squib that loses its impact if thrown in at the end as an anyway song.
