it's OK, we'll get Andy Carroll on a free at 100k/week, re-sign Puncheon, get in Danny Simpson, Cahill is already here. If there's anything left in the purse, we'll get Fernando Llorente too. Apparently that's what his agent said, so interesting if true. I can't read the original article so I don't know if it was actually Freedman or if there's just some sort of mix-up with the names. Since it was substantial interest perhaps Hodgson wanted to deliver a pitch via the agent? Who knows how things work with us

Chalov is simply that good As ever I trust Matteos opinion..Palace seem pretty interested and have already made an opening bid, so maybe they’ll come back with an improved offer, and seal the deal at 459pm Thursday, as is Palace’s habit? And an RB from somewhere as well!

As I have said in another thread I think we have very little chance of getting Watkins since Brentford have already lost Maupey. Judging from the articles linking us to Chalov the 14 mill bid is not too far off what CSKA would accept for him. I think we will go for him again. Can see us landing him for something like 16-20 mill.

There have been many excellent players who never settled into the the English game despite substantial transfer fees.
