The problem has been taking a game to the opposition at home and finding ways to get through competent compact defences when they also concentrate on the players we have who have that ability to cause them problems ..and doing that with a team who can struggle at the best of times with fairly straight forward passing and movement, we basically have too many players either lacking confidence or ability on the ball when playing teams at home. Fair play TP, at least you come back with your opinion from a position of reason, I can respect that even if I think you've always got the Rosey tints on. I've been carded for expressing my view, haven't thrown one insult which is more than I can say about what comes the other way most of the time.

It's just an observation, like, but whenever there are snide and patronising comments flying around here, you seem to be at the epicentre of it all. Why is this, do you think? Truth hurts pickle. It's never me that starts the snidey remarks, I've just got good comebacks.

Brighton away. 3 nil down at half time against 10 men and Roy refused to bring a striker on until the hour mark. Brighton home. Never really looked a threat. We scored due to a very clumsy penalty. Roy refused to make a sub until the 77th minute. By then they'd just hit us on the counter again and we didn't stand a chance. The penalty that wasn't was the first goal and it was against twelve actually Brighton never really looked a threat either apart from when Knockhard fluked it, did you see them away at Spurs? they can defend when they all get together and I know the result in the end ..just an example. Batshuayi played the whole game. Benteke you feel should have rerplaced him? Edited by Tickled pink (16 May 2019 12.07am)

An interesting article on home and away in the Guardian today. I absolutely agree on the detrimental impact of losing Loftus-Cheek and Cabaye, and the inability of Meyer and Kouyate to replace them adequately(which I assume was the intention).
