Zaha should have handed in a transfer request 3 weeks ago - NOT 24 hours before the transfer window closes - bloody joke.

ok so it look like Zaha's agent is already touting him to various clubs and may be off in jan, Batshuayi and money for Zaha seems like a likely deal with a screw you to the 25% to utd. However we do need a like for like replacement, who do people think will be a good replacement for him that cost around 50-60 million?( don't see the board spending any more.) Pity we never went in for Saint-Maximin. He would have been great for us. with the Newcastle owner always looking to annoy their own fans and sell everyone....could still be likely?

I really don't think the Board would sanction such an outlay.
Don't be surprised to see Nathan Redmond or Demarai Gray at our club.

I don't think we'll spend that much on one player and nor should we. If Wilf ever does leave it will see our style change and become more balanced. If suitors do come in for him then I think exchanges are always worthwhile as you don't then get held to ransom over every new purchase when clubs know you've got 60/70m in the bank.

Realistic players that'd be useful to be included on swap deals for me:

Spurs: Kyle Walker-Peters
Chelsea: Batshuayi, maybe RLC at a push but doubtful for many factors.
United: ?
Leicester: Iheanacho could have been a possibility until the other day. Highly doubt they'd entertain Gray leaving.

Like yourself I do wish we'd gone for ASM. Yes his end product is currently lacking but he's still young with bags of potential.

I said 50-60 because we still haven't used the wan bissaka money plus the 30 odd million we will get for Zaha. so roughly 90 odd million, just suggesting we use about half of that on a replacement. plus we hardly spent anything last window.

I wouldn't assume that transfer money from sales will all be available for incoming transfers.

Would love to see Michy back at Palace but can't see him joining us without Zaha with us.

It doesn't work like that as we will be liable to pay 25% of the gross sale value of Zaha

i think the a AWB cash went to ensure we have made a profit since promotion to the PL.

thats quite impressive considering the money we spent on wages, new manager signings & wages.
