If only more would take their bloody blinkers off and smell the facts of where we, as a nation, have been taken.
To the 'poorhouse', that's where.

Which is why you'll always be wrong bud.

Sadly.

A beyond late edit...........Globalisation was never done for your benefit. I truly hope that one day the penny will drop.

Globalisation was never 'done'. It is a simple fact of life. You can try to find a way to ski on the trend, or you can bitch and whimper about it, your choice.

No different to avoiding chavvy pubs

Exactly.

Just like when areas get ghettoised. Just move out. And as for the schools? Just send your kids somewhere else.

Then the pubs all go out of business because it's full of geezers sharing a glass of water.
Then the schools go down hill because none of the kids speak English.
Then the neighbourhood is an absolute toilet because third world standards become the norm.

But that's ok. We'll just move on. I mean, it's not as if there's a population explosion or an open door policy in place so they'll end up spreading out until there's no more places left to run and hide in...

I suppose we could all just move to Holland and then lecture others.

Yes you can because you have freedom of movement and right to live and work all over europe. Oh, I forgot you voted to lose that. Quite alot of things we have personally sacrificed for Brexit for nothing in return (apart from political slogans)

What about areas that have been gentrified and wealthy people have taken over pushing all the local people out, like most of London? It cuts both ways but that doesn't suit your tabloid outlook

Of course it was 'done'. Humans 'done' it.

You could argue that it was inevitable given the dog eat dog nature of capitalism but there really is no actual need for it. It's not about need, more greed, and greed, according to scientists, is a sin.

The 'right' FFS.

Nobody should have the right to waltz into a foreign land and live and work.

I am all for restrictions on movement, I don't understand how you can wield restricting masses of people from access to your labour market, health care and social safety nets (either way) as a bad thing.

Wow. And I thought it was done on purpose rather than being simply a global trend. Shows how much I know.

Quite the opposite

I don't see life that way, I see it as a world of opportunity through which you must navigate with care.

But globalisation isn't being done on purpose most of the time. The internet wasn't designed to enforce globalisation for example. Globalisation is an inevitability, as pointed out by the Scottish Enlightenment thinkers.
