Moved to Lindfield about 16 years ago, wonderful place to be. Not a town Willo, just a village on outskirsts of Haywards Heath as you'd be aware having visited ? You must be referring to Tamasha as the curry house opposite the pond. Enjoy the Sunday buffet in there sometimes and the other 4 pubs in the village not bad either. I have visited Lindfield a few times, the last occasion being a few years ago.Always viewed it as a desirable town.I am led to believe that the old 'White Horse' pub opposite the pond has been turned into an Indian restaurant.

If Willo has been there, it is in fact officially designated as a city.

I am informed that Tamasha is owned by the same chap who owns 2 restaurants in Lingfield and a restaurant in Turner Hill. I shall take your word for it that Lindfield is classified as a village given that you have been resident here for 16 years and know far more about it than 'Yours Truly' !

I know of civic societies who promote the re-gentrification of areas. But it's a constant battle with the "Have-nots" Thornton Heath is not recoverable without some sort of nuclear solution, and Purley Way is on the tipping point for a sharp downward spiral. Brighton is a 5hlt-hole after 6pm. Bouncers (doormen) in pubs, clubs and shops. How did that happen ? Seen some utter pl55-holes all over the country. Glasgow, Oban, Sunderland, Cambridge. Wales. Norwich, Cornwall. Scum are everywhere,....and they breed Edited by Forest Hillbilly (17 Feb 2019 3.31pm)

After I spent 18 years policing Croydon you would go to certain families repeatedly... There would be 4 or 5 kids running about.. Sometimes they looked quite cute but you could literally write there life story for them there and then as you knew how they would turn out. Indeed, towards the end I started dealing with the scumbag offspring of the scumbag I had dealt with years earlier.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
