Let us show some compassion here, she is hardly the first kid to go badly wrong.

After-all aren't we interested in showing Isis or whoever that our way is better?

Not that we are morally bankrupt over a young pregnant eastender.

I'm sure she expects compassion because her kind will see it as weakness and stupidity. She will use it to get what she wants and then condemn us for being infidels.

What's the betting she is involved in anti Western activity within a year.

This doesn't need to be turned into an issue about race, religion, poverty, etc.

If you opt out on society then you shouldn't be entitled to the protection that it offers.

She shows no sign of remorse.

The same rule should apply to all people who don't respect others.

I struggle to see how socialists don't seem to understand this.

In the end this should not be about retribution but about 'the greater good'.

If she is a danger then she needs to be neutralised

If she did something illegal then she should face the law. Any treatment as a special case would be inappropriate, in either direction.

I am pleased this isn't my problem. I also have relative trust in the people that will have to handle the problem. The Foreign Office, Embassy and Consulate staff I have met have been fearsomely bright and capable.

How would anyone know if she is going to be a danger as even her family didn't know what their 15 year old daughter was up to.

The other point is that there are allegedly dozens (if not more) people out there who have been fighting or shagging Isis that want to come home.

Apart from the fact that it isn't down to the UK Government to pay for their repatriation how much is it going to costs to monitor all of them closely for the rest of their lives as well shelling out for benefits as they are probably unemployable

That word was picked deliberately. Their may be kind people who believe in a kind society willing to offer her a chance. However, she has signed up for a barbaric regime which apposes everything they believe in.

The kind tolerant people who are willing to help her are also the same people that IS would put up against the firing squad first for being kind and tolerant.

She doesn't share societies values, I don't wish any harm upon her or her baby, but why should we help her? We've been compassionate enough by not bringing her to justice. And our justice system is compassionate enough not to have the same medieval sentence that IS use against their enemies.

None of which explains why you used the word socialists.

I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said on the girl, it’s just bizarre that you’ve deduced it’s socialists who are arguing the opposite - what is that even based on?

This is the crux of the matter for Javid.

Could this person be allowed back into her own country to vote labour?

A possible socialist?

An obvious threat to our way of life and national security......

From the silly old fart conservative party.

Suddenly people getting triggered by the word 'socialist'.

Yet when it's other words of political positions being demonised.....

I doubt Javid is worried about 1 potential Labour voter. But I bet he is worried about the 300 Tory MPs and thousands of Tory party members who will be electing a new leader in the not too distant future.
