You, as an individual, might not be - good for you. Not just me....I mentioned that, in the modern day, all the people speaking this way are exposed to education and better systems of speech all the time. Yet they make their cultural choices.....it isn't out of ignorance. Yet you make this charge for people who don't 'accept' the other way around. No, 'ignorance' as an explanation isn't satisfactory. Rather these are cultural choices based upon preference.

Sounds like you’re losing traction, fella. Yep, those industries you list employ hundreds of thousands of people. And you’re talking about ridiculing my points. I didn’t give any opinion on food and retail. I just said I don’t want to be served by someone sounding like that. In customer service you serve. It is your problem there, not mine. And actually I do t think many choose supermarkets or fast food due to the pay. They end up in them, hence a lot of my points. But carry on. Just so we're clear you don't want to be served by a black person in a shop? How long have you adopted this retail apartheid?

Yep Malcolm X could see that essentially the 'white knight' complex was just another form of the same thing. They are well meaning and utopian in their thinking....but they just don't really get it.

Rather these are cultural choices based upon preference. Let’s be very clear here; I agree they make a choice; stated that numerous times now. This isn’t out of ignorance. As a separate point, I believe a lot of the negative stigma around modern street culture (notice this is a wider point, and not specifically about language!!!) is due to a lack of understanding of it. Nothing to do with acceptance, or like, of said culture - I believe most people just don’t know much about it. I witness this first hand with my own family, friends and colleagues. I’d also be confident you know little about modern street culture, and your own opinions are in some part shaped by ignorance, as are mine I’m sure. You seem to have your back up over my use of the word ignorant, when the reality is it describes a lack of knowledge or exposure to something, which is somewhat inevitable in this case if you’re not a young person living in particular parts of the country. It’s not in any way insulting.

'Retail apartheid'. Sounds like a long lost Billy Bragg song.

You have. That says more about you than anybody, and I mean anybody, on this thread. Have you been to Selhurst and bought anything recently? We know the answer to that. The demographic is well over 80% young black people.

Enjoyed this. Could be used as Tesco's latest jingle. You have a talent.
