Those of us who began supporting The Glaziers many seasons ago will have fond memories of Chopper Greenwood and Jack Edwards. Now he could hit 'em from 30 yards. Those were the days.

You clearly can’t have seen him play much for Palace (if at all) and please don’t rely on Willopedia...you need to extend your research a little further to the team sheets of the 1996/1997 years, or watch the season reviews on video or DVD. Muscat was a fullback! Right footed and predominantly Right sided, however he did play games for us in the Number 3 shirt when Marc Edworthy was fit and holding down the right back spot. Muscat was with us when we had Andy Roberts, David Tuttle, Andy Linighan and Herman Hreidarsson playing at Centreback. You know...I’m sure you’ll remember Andy Roberts dropping back from midfield to play at centreback alongside Tuttle once his legs had lost that bit of pace...No?!?! There’s a theme developing in a lot of your posts and the bollox you’re writing about Muscat playing at centre back for Palace as opposed to fullback, just re-inforces it! I looked this up in my programs. He deputised for an injured Dean Gordon at left back, sometimes RB with Edworthy on the left for 20 matches during the 96/97 season before switching to a right sided centre back in a 3-5-2 formation for the rest of his time with us, playing along side Roberts and tuttle or Tuttle and Linighan in his last 9 games for us in the 97-98 season. It appears that Bassett played him anywhere there was an injury so I understand your confusion. He played centre back everywhere else and is listed on every credible source as a centre back. Please refrain from insulting me, especially when all I'm doing is stating the facts of the matter.

I always hoped he would sort out his head so the talent could be allowed to come through, he could have been exceptional but everyone lost patience with him.
