Hate to say it but we’ve looked worse without Benteke in the team since he’s been out. Townsend looks lost without being able to cut inside and whip the ball in. Ayew runs a lot but just shows no confidence, always preferring to play backwards or sideways and and we still needed a number 10 - how have we not even attempted to rectify this?!!

you are over rating the players and all other teams spent to strengthen team we didn't if it wasn't for players leaving we wouldn't of spent anything. it's the owners not opening the wallet that is the problem you can only do so much with what you have. yes Roy likes to play same way every time but he doesn't have many options to change it up because he is restricted by the players he has (I do think he could do more but not like you are trying to make out it's all his fault)
