Enjoyed that. Good goals, nice passing and AWB showing again how good he is (that back heel was superb). Only concern is our main striker not scoring, although I thought he played well apart from not scoring.

The amount of tackles AWB puts in is a joke isn’t it, what a player!

Don't really care how Jose gets shafted, as long as he gets shafted.

A few thoughts from me on the match from the car ride home.

1) Andros was on another level tonight. Maybe it was a talent mismatch, but I think more likely it was a function of formation

2) AWB's workrate is unreal. Was worried when we put him in but with him in there was no really challenge

3) Also thought punch was outstanding tonight too. Admitedly lower quality opposition, but his best shift in over 2 years

4) Guiata is so better better on goal kicks than Wayne. Not calling to bench wayne, but the difference is massive

Didn’t make it tonight but those that did come over loud and clear on the telly. A very enjoyable game. I thought Sorloth and Punch had good games, and apart from a couple of brief spells we dominated the game and could have won by much more. Andros very unlucky not to bag a hat trick.

Roy says it gives him a selection headache for net game. What (or who) does that mean do you think?

Parrot

I think he’s talking about Meyer

The guy is pure two footed quailty

Stick him behind Zaha and Townsend

Kouyaté, Luka and McArthur in the engine room

Rest of the team picks itself imo

I only got to watch the highlights, but the one thing i did note is on each goal, Sorloth was well placed and ready to receive the pass each time. He didnt get the pass, but we got 3 goals, but the look on Sorloth's face, knowing people will say that we got 3 and Sorloth got none.

Not sure if he was given many chances, anyone can comment on that ?

A couple of close-range heading opportunities that he took tamely. 'Tame' is the word I'd use to describe him, really.

Mainly I would think this concerns Max Meyer who did well, but not great.

Roy may have thought Schlupp and Sorloth put a good shift in also. I dont see Puncheon being a factor, except outside nightclubs. You never know with Hodgson though, he might be talking about Joel Ward, you just never know.

Ayew did enough in about 6 minutes to tell me he is better than Sorloth up top. That said Sorloth did one thing very well which was lay the ball to Andros with 2 guys around him, which allowed Townsend to get into position to hit that cracking shot.

I doubt he means the goalie but you never know, Guaita looked very assured tonight, albeit against a lacklustre outfit.
