Moeen has just biffed 200 + for Worcestershire and 5 wickets so he should be in touch. He is there for his spin bowling as well. On his day a very destructive batsman. Doesn't look good does it does anybody buy tickets for the last two days anymore?

Shall we give Ali another fifty tests to get that average up to 35?

That's a bit harsh. Ali has five Test Match centuries including both home and away against India so I would hardly call him a failure especially as he now has to bat low down the order with the tail Indeed. He also got a double hundred in his last county championship game, to go with his 8 wickets for 89. The middle order are keeping us in with a sniff here, the top 4 were simply awful. Root was out twice but for a no ball.

Not really, and Notts had to refund everyone (pay on the day and advance tickets) for the last day in the last test after initially wanting to charge £10 to see all of 3 overs.

I think back to the days of Border,Boycott Edrich,Close etc etc - You had to really work hard to get these batsmen and others of their ilk out as they played with concentration and application.They got their heads down, played themselves in and ground out valuable runs.Our current lot are the direct opposite of these stars of yesteryear.

Both the Currans are the future of all rounders for England at the moment. Stokes needs to develop more consistency but along with them we have this area covered. We need a proper spinner......And we need to be investing in players like Pope, Burns, Hain and maybe Hameed. We have exciting pace bowlers coming through.....but Anderson and Broad seem to be slotted in for home pitches until they retire.
