The correlation between money printed (since 09 for example) and the ridiculously mentioned Stock Market performance as a guide to the man on the street (do some homework peeps ffs!) should tell you all you need to know tbh. Simple as that.

Simple as that. I agree with you that QE ultimately helps the "rich". However, that is just one sector of the economy and lots of middle class people have investments in the stock market too. To back up your point, we also all pay wealthy landowners for having wind turbines on their acres of land through a green tax on top of our energy bills. This is not right, but I don't hate on the rich for this. I think the original point was about the income the treasury gets from the rich – not what the rich get which is a slightly different issue and they obviously get it better all round in so may ways. It comes back to what I was saying before about pigeon holing, like you can only be one type or another, if you earn above a certain threshold you are a middle class Tory, you only care about feathering your own bed and could never have empathy with low earners. I'm afraid people on here still believe in the class divide and fall back on lazy stereotyping to further their argument. Lets take another example: Mark Steel. He surely earns well above the average with his comedy work and TV appearances, therefore he is now a sniveling Tory boy and any left wing principles he ever had are meaningless Edited by Pussay Patrol (03 Jul 2018 9.04am)

It's socialists who are the ones who always bang on about that and want the class divide because it suits the narrative. The only labels I've mentioned are 'socialist' and 'champagne socialist' though I quite like 'limousine liberal' that's used in America . Edited by Penge Eagle (03 Jul 2018 12.15pm)
