You could list anyone we’ve ever signed from Chelsea ,excluding RLC of course

Paddy Mulligan was good, Bobby Tambling did ok (both had a key role in a memorable win against ManU)

As was Alan Birchenal (sp?). Tambling also scored the only goal in a win at Old Trafford.

I expected much more from Birchenall. Think he did better after he left us, Leicester wasn't it? I was referring to Tambling's goal in our only ever away league win at ManU. Mulligan scored two in our oh so very memorable 5-0 win against them.

Fair does; I have watched the 5-0 a few times since the Centenary DVD. Still not entirely sure how Mulligan got that far forward. Unfortunately I don’t think there is any video of Tambling’s goal at OT, but from memory of the reports it was a screamer.

Too true. We had off-loaded Cliff Holton at the end of the previous season and Kevan was seen as a replacement, but I am sure an ageing Cliff would have been better.

Ian Lawson came in at the same time and was probably even worse than DK.

I think some people on this thread are just listing our worst ever players. However, for me, a "donkey" of a player is one who has the particular "qualities" of being heavy, slow and immobile.

On that score add Ben Anderson who played briefly for us around 1974-75.

Not the only away win as believe we beat them 2-1 in 1986 or around that time.
Others could no doubt confirm.
